Do you Cover my area?

Can The equipment go on grass or gravel?

Yes, our equipment can go on grass or gravel however only with our rola trac event flooring which incurs an additional  charge. Please bear in mind that your grass can be damaged from lack of oxygen and it may be preferable to find an alternative location.

If adding a gazebo- on the booking system please be sure to select the correct flooring size to match your gazebo size.

Can the equipment go on artificial grass / decking or patio?

Yes, our hot tubs can go on decking or patio. However, please bear in mind that to accommodate our hot tubs your deck must be able to sufficiently handle 1200kg of weight, plus an average weight of 80kg for each person who will simultaneously occupy the tub.

Gazebos/ party tents & cinema hires can go on decking or patio however please keep in mind anchoring procedures- we will need drill a small 8mm screw hole to anchor to surroundings, this is normal procedure, 90% of our customers have us set up on patio, however if you are concerned about this please contact us with a picture of your area.

For artificial grass-  again for setting up gazebo as not to use grass ground anchors which could damage your grass, we will need to drill a small 8mm screw hole to surrounding areas to make sure the equipment is safely secure for your hire.

Do you cover my area?

We cover on average 35 Miles of TF2 - Please use the postcode checker on out website to check the fuel charge for your area

ALSO - We now cover up to 50miles of TF2 for both party tents (without hot tubs) & foam parties- if you can't see your postcode on our coverage areas (postcode checker) via our website - do a quick check on google - If your postcode is 30-50 miles from Tf2 avoiding tolls clients can now select a NEW option on our fuel drop down option on our online booking system this is - SEE BELOW

My garden is uneven, should I put something down to level it?

All inflatable hot tubs can cope with slightly uneven ground when coupled with our rola trac event flooring, for which there is a additional charge. see prices on the booking page

Inflatables can also handle slightly sloping surfaces but obviously this is reflected in the tub water level.

Solid tubs however cannot be sited on sloping ground and need a very level surface for the filtration and jets to operate correctly.

Do i need a outside socket?

No you don’t need an outside socket as we provide various lengths of weatherproof extension leads up to 25m that can go through a window to plug in inside.

However because they’re made from thick cable to handle the power of the hot tub, the window will not be able to latch on them.

Do i need a outside tap?

No you don’t need an outside tap, as we carry various tap connectors on the van!

However, we will need notifying beforehand and a photo of the tap head sent to us, to ensure we have the correct fitting for your tap.

Do i need a hose pipe?

No you don’t need a hose pipe, we carry several lengths of hose on the van.

Is there a booking deposit to pay?

+

yes, the booking deposit on hires is either £25, £50 or £75 depending on which product you have chosen  deducted off the total balance on the day of hire  

Please note booking deposits are none refundable if you did choose to cancel your hire.

Is there a damages deposit to pay?

Yes we take a £50 refundable damages deposit on all inflatable hot tub hires, £200 refundable deposit on all solid spa hires, £60 on party tents & overnight foam parties and £100 refundable damages deposit on cinema hires

Once collected please allow 72 hrs for your refund to be processed

I'd like to put the tub 30 metres from my house. Do I need to buy a longer hose?

No, there’s no need for you to buy a hose for this. We have hoses to cover that distance.

How many people fit in a hot tub?

Our hot tubs are designed to accommodate four or eight adults depending upon which size you have booked.

How long does it take to fill a hot tub?

+

This depends entirely on the water pressure at your property. Generally it takes anywhere from 2 -3 hours to fill a hot tub. We will start the filling process and leave you to finish filling and turn the tub on.
All inflatable hot tubs are hot filled, we connect the hose to an indoor hot tap, we have a variety of hose tap adapters for this, however if you think you may have unique taps its always best to send a photo to us - lay-z-days@outlook.com to make sure we have the correct tap adapter, if we don't we will order one in ready for your hire at no additional charge.
If you do not have a combi boiler and you have a tank style boiler where you have to wait for your water to heat please be sure to book your hot tub party in a day earlier than your party date to make sure you allow sufficient time for your hot tub to fill & heat.
Filling solid Orbis spa:
We shock the Solid spas differently to our inflatable hot tubs for this reason we cold fill - you will then need to allow 24hrs from filling for your hot tub to heat & for the chlorine level to settle to a safe chlorine level of 3-5ppm.


Do i need to provide any documents for my hire?

Yes upon delivery we require a utility bill for proof of hot tub delivery address for insurance purposes and photo identification to show who is hiring the equipment.

Your hot tub operator will need to see this after installation on the day of hire.

I would like you to decorate a venue for our wedding, how do i go about booking this, do you offer room Floor plan and risk assessment?

Yes, please contact us via lay-z-days@outlook.com leaving a contact number and preference for a suitable day & time to chat.

We will provide a call back, during this call you can let us know your full requirements, we will send over email with full quotation within 72 hrs of chatting. If you have provided us with your venue room measurements we will also  send over a full floor plan of what we think the room layout could look like. Please note on busier occasions it can take up to 7 days to have the floor plan sent over to you.

Lay-z-days holds 5m public liability. We provide full risk assessment of the Venue room prior to any work being carried out  along with any other COSHH Health & safety documents needed.

Lay-z-days are fully trained in event management.

I'm staying at a holiday let, do you need any additional documents?

yes.. along with the utility bill in your home address & photo identification we will also need written permission from the holiday park owner allowing us to install the hot tub, along with a copy of your holiday booking confirmation.

Is the hot tub cleaned between hires?

+

Absolutely, yes. Each hot tub is deep cleaned and sanitised between hires. On delivery, your tub is cleaned again and ‘shock-treated’ with chemicals to ensure the highest level of hygiene. Each tub hire also includes a brand new filter.

Will i have to deal with chemicals?

+

Yes, we provide a chemical kit with every hire that includes test strips and a range of chemicals for you to maintain the quality of the water of your hot tub.

There is a manual included in the chemical kit but you will also be sent a video detailing the daily tests and checks you will be required to carry out for the duration of your hire.

How much water will the hot tub use?

+

Depending on the size of tub you hire it will require between 800 and 1545 litres of water to fill. You shouldn’t need to top up the level unless considerable splashing occurs or you lose heat.

Does the hot tub need plugging in the whole time?

+

Yes it does. The motor needs to be plugged in to maintain the temperature in your tub and constantly filter the water. The heating element operates like the central heating thermostat in your home, so only cuts in when the water temperature drops, but the filter pump will run the whole time.

How much electricity will the hot tub use?

+

Of course this is a bit tricky to say, as the cost will depends on use and on your electricity tariff.

If you are on a pre-paid meter it will cost more, but an average short term hire will use between £10 and £20

Can you provide a gazebo with your hot tubs?

Yes we can provide a gazebo, gazebos start at size 3x3m £55 per hire.  See more sizes on the booking page. These are the canopy with sides all gazebos come complete with IP68 rated waterproof disco lights

We can site the gazebo on patio / decking or on grass, for grass we use ground anchors, however for patio or decking to anchor we drill into nearby mortar or surrounding to make sure your gazebo is safe for hire, the screw hole is a tiny 8mm and is normal procedure for our hires, if you are concerned about this please contact us

Does the hot tub come with a lid?

+

Yes, all hot tubs are supplied with lids which must be clipped in at all times when the tub isn’t in use.

The solid tubs also come with a hydraulic lid lifter to assist in the removal of the lid.

Do i need to drain the hot tub ready for collection?

+

For inflatable hot tubs we require you to drain the tub 2 hrs prior to collection.

For solid spas- No- We require you to shock the hot tub 2 hrs prior to collection (instructions provided) and leave full of water. When we arrive to collect the tub we need it plugged in and switched on so we can test everything. Also the water needs to be hot in the tub especially in winter months, as freezing temperatures can damage the pump. We use a high speed submersible pump to empty the hot tub to the nearest drain or can pump straight onto your garden.

How long does installation take?

It takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour to install a hot tub only, however For packages including a gazebo or party theme, party tents or cinema hires we ask customers to allow at least 2 hrs for the installation process.
Access restrictions can delay the process.

Is there any places you cant get to, to install the hot tubs?

+

The inflatable tubs are very compact when deflated, allowing us to deliver them to almost any location that a human can walk.  If you’re hiring a gazebo too we need a clear area of 50cm all the way around your chosen gazebo size for anchoring

The solid tubs do have access restrictions, so a video will need to be sent before we accept a booking to check for any obstacles. We need minimum 80cm width, the standard needs 1.8m in height clearance.  The solid spas are rolled into place and cannot be lifted or pushed up steep gradients. They need a clear space of 2.5 x 2.5m to allow for steps and lid lifter.

What do i need to prepare for my hire?

Measure the area to make sure their is adequate space

For foam party what do i need to do to prepare my venue?
+

Check Floor – Foam does contain a high content of water. If it is a wooden dance floor is the surface sealant or varnish still intact. If it is a vinyl floor covering check and seal any cracks or holes to stop any water penetration.

Electrics – Check plug sockets and cabling that might come into contact with the foam. Seal any sockets with silicon sealant or duct tape. Remove or reroute tailing leads. Isolate at the main any suspect wiring or cabling.

Base speakers, Electronic games – It is best to raise and speakers off the floor out of the way of the foam, if this is not possible then a good solution is to wrap the fronts with industrial shrink wrap or low cost plastic dust sheets held in place with duct tape.

Lights, Decorations – The Foam machines blast the foam with the use of strong fans. Decorations can get blown about, check that they are secured well.

Cloak Room – Your customers will appreciate somewhere dry to leave coats and jumpers and maybe even valuables. Some clubs even supply or sell small plastic bags for their customers to keep valuables, phones and cameras dry, whilst dancing in the foam. Some even going as far as providing foil space blankets as clubber leave to keep warm on the way home.

On the day of my foam party what do you need?

Arrival – We will need access to the venue, before you customers arrive so we can set up and prepare our equipment. We will need power and lighting for our set up and testing.

Water – We do not need a continuous water feed as we will mix foam prior in our storage tank to supply or machines. However we will need a water supply / tap, to fill the tanks when setting up. We can use most taps (toilet push and release taps are not suitable).

Power – Our machines run on domestic 240 volt sockets.

What should my guests wear for a foam party?

What To Wear?

  • Good non slip footwear is advisable - no heels.
  • We do not recommend wearing white colour as this can become see through in the foam!
  • Minimal make up as you will get very wet! or remember that waterproof Mascara!
  • Shorts or beachwear is advisable, we do not recommend suede or leather as can leave tide mark when dry, wool can become heavy.

For corporate event's - Things to pack in your handbag:

Hairbrush/ waterproof mascara/ plastic bag for any wet cloths/ zip lock bag for mobile phones or camera, even a dry t-shirt is handy that you can fold up in your bag and put on at the end of the night!

When booking Lay-z-days for your event, you do so at your own risk, all safety measures are put in place to reduce the risk of injury or damage to surroundings, however if in the unlikely event of injury or damage to venue or surroundings, Lay-z-days will not be liable for this as mentioned in our disclaimer. However all injuries must be reported in our hse accident book

I have booked my hire when will you allocate a delivery & collection time slot?

All delivery & collection slots are allocated 3-5days prior to your hire date, we normally do the delivery route schedule on a Monday before your hire date.

Delivery/collection slots run: 10am-12pm | 12pm-2pm | 2pm -4pm | 4pm -6pm |5pm-7pm we always try to collect a similar time to delivery if possible, however this is subject to our schedule.

I'm pregnant can i use the hot tub?

Apologies we do not recommend pregnant ladies to use our hot tubs, however we always say to check this with your doctor.

I would like to book a repair or maintenance service however i'm not near your collection area, can i deliver the hot tub to you?

+

No, apologies our storage unit does not allow for public deliveries, our repair & maintenance service is a staff collection and drop off service only

I would like to organise a outdoor movie event at my business premises, do you provide the licencing?

No. We are equipment hire only company, You will require a STSL licence, any licensing can be done through a company called Filmbank: https://www.filmbankmedia.com/

I would like to book a party tent! Can i decorate the party tent myself instead of opting for a décor theme?

Yes of course you can dress the party room how you would like it

I would like to book a party tent! Is a sound system included in the party tent price?

yes sound system is included with all party tents!

I would like Lay-z-days to decorate our venue but no pins or tacks or anything else is allowed in the walls can you help?

For venue décor we provide heavy duty telescopic backdrop stands and will not pin any décor directly to walls

I would like to organise a foam party for my child who is under 5 is this okay?

+

yes, however although our solution is non toxic and hypoallergenic. please keep in mind under 5s skin is more sensitive than older children & adults, under 5s must be supervised by an adult at all times, enter at own risk.

I would like to organise a party tent for my teenagers birthday are your party tents suitable?

+

Yes we offer our party tents to teens and children however please be mindful as our tents contain class 3b lasers and UV lighting.

I am pregnant or i have a skin allergy's would it be okay to enter the foam party?

+

No. We do not recommend entering our foam parties if you have any sort of skin allergy, Pregnant or medical condition that could cause harm to yourself or your unborn baby through contact with the foam.

Can i call you to book in and pay over the phone?

No unfortunately We no longer take over the phone bookings, all bookings are made via our website booking system.

As a very small business we try to limit time spent on the phone as much as possible, However if you would like to have a chat about your event we are more than happy to provide a call back at a suitable day/time - Just send us an email with your contact number & name to - lay-z-days@outlook.com

You can pay the booking deposit via PayPal or card at the time of booking online

Your remaining balance can be paid via the "pay now" button on your booking invoice that you receive at the time of making a booking. Alternatively you can pay via Bacs, cash on arrival or PayPal ( 5% PayPal fee applies if choosing this method) - details are on your booking confirmation.
