We are a family run business, I am Martin, the founder of Lay-z-days Event's.

Lay-z-days is owned by myself Martin Robert’s & my wife Tracy Robert’s.

We love what we do and every day is different, one day we could be setting up a Uv Party tent &  the next out doing a foam party or setting up a hot tub in the rain! but we are passionate about our service and consider ourselves to be the best Party equipment rental company in the UK. First point of call you will speak with my wife Tracy, Tracy is brilliant at her job our customer's all say she has great customer service and is an asset to the company, Lay-z-days wouldn't be where it is today with all our creative UV décor if it wasn't for her!

Tracy deals mainly with the hires, she makes sure everything runs smoothly and that everything is ready for your hire, on busier occasions you may see Tracy out on deliveries and if she’s not busy in the office she will be creating new designs or packages for the business, cleaning the Hot tubs ready for hire, doing risk assessments or dealing with health & safety side of the business amongst doing other marketing & admin duties.

My self -Martin, I deal with all the onsite deliveries along with the sales side amongst Admin duties, my knowledge of the events industry is second to none so if you need any advice please contact me. Tracy is also trained in event management and will be more than happy to help.

If I'm not out on deliveries I will be dealing with the sales side, getting uv decor orders ready for dispatch, Shipping orders, or keeping all the equipment in tip top condition or out servicing Hot tubs, cleaning the hot tubs ready for hire or helping Tracy with new projects for the company, I have some great feedback from my customer’s for my excellent customer service.

Tracy loves crafting & has a passion for painting, she enjoys spending time with our children & Labrador, she also enjoys testing out new diet fads or running on her treadmill!, she has definitely shown her creative side with some crazy designs for the UV glow packages. she always sees the best in people and believes you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Me -Martin- I enjoy spending time with our Children & Tracy, yes & even the dog! I’m a huge fan of action movies, and a bit of a top gear fan, I used to work as a mechanic so that may explain it! I take each day as it comes, I love to travel and see a bit of the world, when I have the time too! In the ideal world I would spend my days having a lay-z-day at the beach but work calls!”

Now a little bit about Lay-z-days and how it all started- In the beginning we started hiring Hot tubs, We got to know our customer's personally learning exactly what customer's wanted and striving to bring our customer's the best possible service, Some of our customer's would like to hire a hot tub before they made the next step decision to buy their own, Other customer's would like a non hassle hot tub hire without any mess - where we deliver, set up a hot tub only or themed party such as: uv / Hawaii / unicorn etc  and then we collect and clear away after their party, allowing lady's & gents to fully relax stress free.

Looking back to the beginning- i worked full time in a factory and struggled to juggle full time work and the demand for my hot tub hire service, It seemed the more people heard of Lay-z-days the busier I got, which I was thankful for as I was always taught by my parents to follow my passion and work hard to reach my goals. I then went part time at my current job and a few years later made the decision to leave & go full time with Lay-z-days.

Tracy started by helping me with things i couldn't do by my self such as the uv decor, graphic design, website build,  digital marketing & as I got busier and eventually our ideas together made Lay-z-days grow even further!

Fast forward to 2024, we now have a reputable company with a great customer base which is also 5* rated, although its not always been easy we have had to learn a lot along the way.

Myself & Tracy trained our way through various courses, tutorials and met with many lovely people in the events industry to learn as much as possible.

In 2019/2020 we added the party tent & foam party service, due to the pandemic  this part of the business was hit hard due to lockdowns.

This part of the business couldn't properly resume until 2022. I remember it was hard, we didn't think Lay-z-days  would survive with covering the general overheads but luckily Lay-z-days pulled through.

 Since then we are seeing great results with this part of the business.

The year of 2023/24 arrived

We sat down and discussed how we would like to move forward with the business. One issue that keeps coming up is....  we cant reach our customers all across the UK or internationally for our services. This is becoming an issue for us as we are contacted by customers all over the world on a regular basis.

After some brainstorming  we decided we can reach our customer in a different way, if we design our own uv decor! something we have  weirdly always talked about.

 Shipped to our customers- this way we can reach every country!.

With our thinking caps on.... our uv events decor shop was launched!

We reinvested and we cant wait to show you what's to come!

Training: Myself & Tracy are Bishta Hot tub water management trained, COSHH trained, level 3 city & guilds cleaning trained, Tracy is also trained in facilities management services, Event management, food hygiene level 2, Web Design/ Digital marketing & SEO and Green cleaning trained. We take Health & safety very seriously here at Lay-z-days, We have up to date risk assessments for all our services.

We are fully registered and insured we hold 5m public liability, all equipment is pat tested annually, We use a system where we log a twice daily water testing system for our customer’s and only use professional cleaning solution with bio film remover to clean and flush our Hot tubs, you can download all safety data sheets for our chemicals on our website  HERE
